Alessandro Carboni

Alessandro Carboni creates humorous sculptures by transforming everyday objects. It is his way of commenting on the meanings associated with those objects and reflecting on the social, political and historical aspects they represent. He is interested in exploring notions of mass-production, food consumption and exploitation. A giant chicken soup carton, a birdcage, a coffin and a meat mincer, are examples of the objects that he has transformed. Graduated with a MA from Central Saint Martins and a BA from Middlesex University, he has exhibited nationally and internationally and his sculptures are part of private collections in UK, Italy and Greece.

Celestine Thomas

Celestine Thomas’ art is shaped by her love of color and her experience with dyslexia, which she views as a unique lens rather than a limitation. Her challenges with written language inspired her to develop a distinct visual language where colour conveys meaning. She transforms everyday objects into imaginative expressions of childhood, creativity, and transformation through her semi-abstract paintings and playful sculptures. Thomas’ work encourages viewers to see beauty in the overlooked and connect on an intuitive level. Her art invites us to rediscover joy, wonder, and the power of visual storytelling beyond words.

Debbie Peaty

I am an enthusiastic amateur artist who has been living in Palmers Green for the past 43 years. I have enjoyed painting and drawing all my life but only took it up seriously in 2006 when I joined a local Art Class. Although I began mainly using watercolours, I enjoy experimenting with different mediums. I paint and draw a variety of subjects including portraits , landscapes, seascapes and flowers. I love the outdoors and am a keen walker, which inspires my love of nature which I use as the basis for many of my paintings.

Dominic Madden

I make drawings and paintings with a range of media, including images from newspapers, ink and spray paint. Disparate images and discordant patterns are often layered to create poetic landscapes. Travels in the middle and far east have had an enduring impact on my work. Recent paintings and collages use chinese brushes, ink and rice paper to depict the English countryside. I am interested in the aesthetics of 'shan shui' ink painting and the notion of a dialogue between 2 worlds; my paintings are a mediation between conflicting cultural forces at play in a given landscape, real or imagined, and seek to raise questions of occupation and displacement; in particular, to create a kind of multiverse into which the viewer can wander and get lost.

Imon Phukan

I was born in forested hill regions of the North. Life without a father was a deep question which I went on seeking everyday since his death. In my works I search for Joi De Vivre and belonging in the forest I create. The feeling of absence drew my fascination to Persian and Indian folk tales because it describes magic and after death astral journey's. I create myself from a flying birds eye perspective in my works, free searching for a nest, as a migrated bird. I weave my emotions in different versions of painting and layering mediums and materials.

I'm an artist who works predominantly in Acrylic or Oil on Canvas. I have a phenomena called 'Synesthesia' which is the cross-wiring of two or more senses, in my case I see colours when I hear music. Monica Perez Vega

Monica's work is rooted in nature, exploring themes of uncertainty and adaptation. Born in California, her memories of home are shaped by a shifting landscape, and experiences of continually starting over have led to a practice which investigates cycles of change. Release is integral to Monica's process, mirroring nature’s own rhythms of growth and dissolution. She is interested in the tension between renewal and collapse, navigating disruption as a method and metaphor. This is a reflection of nature’s transience; it is both an acceptance of impermanence and a search for hope amid uncertainty.

Steve Baxter

Steve Baxter’s artistic practice involves working spontaneously and directly with materials that form the fabric of our interiors such as carpet, cables, wallpaper, and furniture. By transforming these ordinary elements, he reimagines domestic environments in surreal and sometimes disquieting ways. His pieces are often described as witty and surprising, yet they carry a dark and unsettling undercurrent. He explores forms related to the natural world of geomorphology and ecosystems experienced on walks around the Isle of Wight. Baxter’s sculptures juxtapose the permanence and decay found in nature with profound mental states such as joy, love anxiety and dementia.
